Welcome to the Sopchoppy 4th of July Festival. Attached is a vendor’s application for set up at the Myron B. Hodge City Park, in Sopchoppy, to be held on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010, from 11 a.m. until the end of the fireworks display.  Setup will take place on Friday, July 2, 2010, the day before the festival, or between the hours of 8:00 and 9:30 A.M. on the day of the festival. Set up needs to be finished before the park opens at 11:00 A.M. and vendor vehicles need to be moved to designated areas.  This year’s event will be a memorable, all day opportunity to celebrate and connect with visitors attending the festival. There will be live music throughout the day.  In addition there will be activities, games and contests for children, youth and their families.  Prior to the activities in the Park, the annual Sopchoppy 4th of July Parade will be take
place at 10:30 A.M. in downtown Sopchoppy. The City Park gates will open at 11 A.M. If you have questions about the event please contact me by email at:atsy_tra@earthlink.net or 850/251-6861.

The Sopchoppy 4th of July Committee will provide a 12’ x 12’ space. Food and concession vendors may require a larger area. The vendor must supply their own set up: (tables, chairs, tent, extension chords, water hoses, etc.). Food and concession vendors are solely responsible for their own licensing, liability insurance, and sanitation requirements. State inspectors usually check these events. Booth locations shall be
assigned by the Committee, with those first enrolled receiving preference in location.  Electricity and water hookup is available at the Park. Food and concession vendors will not be duplicated, so early enrollment is advised.  All applications must be received with payment no later than Thursday, July 1, 2010.  Items for sale and booth appearance must be appropriate for family audiences. Sale or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Participants agree to park vehicles in designated areas outside the park area.

Dear Business Owner :

Since 1973, The City of Sopchoppy, in conjunction with local citizens, have sponsored a 4th of July Celebration. The event has become one of the most anticipated festivals in the Wakulla County area, beginning with a parade through downtown Sopchoppy, and culminating in a spectacular fireworks display in the Myron B. Hodge City Park in the evening hours.

The day long event features an entertaining array of musicians and performers, food and craft vendors, and this year, will include expanded activities for children and families.

On behalf of the newly formed Sopchoppy 4th of July Committee, we are seeking sponsors to support this year's event. The existing budget does not include the finances to support continuation of the Sopchoppy 4th of July Celebration, and so we are requesting sponsorship from local municipalities and area businesses, and donations from local residents.

It is our hope that you will consider supporting this family oriented Independence Day Celebration, which brings thousands of people together, regardless of class, culture, generation, political orientation, or any other characteristic which sometimes divides people. This event, in fact, unifies every American who wishes to honor the birth of our Nation, and who wishes to pay tribute to those people who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and those who continue to serve our country in the name of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Sponsorship levels for this year's Sopchoppy 4th of July Festival includes:

Bronze Sponsor: $100 Receives a certificate of sponsorship, recognition by MC at park.

Silver Sponsor: $250 Receives above recognition, sponsorship on signs, free arts/craft or info booth.

Gold Sponsor: $500 Receives above recognition, and free arts/craft or food booth at park.

Platinum Sponsor: $1,000 Receives above recognition, plus mention in advertisements.

Please send your check or money order to The Sopchoppy 4th of July, c/o The City of Sopchoppy, at PO Box 1219, Sopchoppy, FL 32358. You may specify if you wish the money used for fireworks display, entertainment, or general fund.
